The roller skate may show small traces of use. The roller skate has been tested, has small stains, is not in the original carton, or is not sold as "new" for other reasons.
Our BTFL roller skates were designed in Germany for the European market. If you know your EU shoe size, order accordingly. The conversion to USA sizes tends to run a bit small. If you are normally a true size US Women's 7, then order the size 7. If you are in-between sizes, order the next size up. For example, if you normally wear a US Women's 7.0-7.5 you should order the size 8. The most accurate way to figure out your correct size is to have someone else measure your foot with socks on and compare them to our size chart to find the appropriate size.

These skates have a timeless design and resemble the look of a classic ice skate. The Scarlett Pro Classic Skate is powder blue soft genuine leather for the upper boot and has small heels. The Scarlett Pro utilizes a high-top boot design to provide more support for your ankles with a comfortable insole offering a high degree of endurance, for longer rides. The interior lining is a soft faux fur, allowing for agility so nothing can stop your acrobatic moves.
The lightweight polypropylene fiber plate chassis and aluminum trucks paired with the high-rebound urethane wheels with carbon precision bearings will better absorb shocks to deliver the smoothest ride. The adjustable toe stop in the front of the skate allows you to dance even more playfully and smoothly.

Note about our leather: The leather that is used in our BTFL Roller skates is hand-picked and inspected to be of the highest quality both by looks and feel before use. The genuine cowhide will have variations of coarseness and texture that vary from hide to hide. When the pieces are cut and sewn together this slight variation can be more noticeable. This will not affect the function of your skates.

I bought these on a whim. I have high end speed skates, but wanted an artistic set for outdoor recreation. I liked that there were refurbished options; I like supporting a small business; I like the color blue, and printed fabric detailing. These arrived within a week of placing the order, in skate-ready condition. I was happy with the lightweight nylon plates since I won’t be skating aggressively. The bushings are soft enough to allow for agility. No complaints about the abec7 bearings or soft outdoor wheels. I’m a size 8, sometimes 8.5, but the 8s are perfect. EU sizing is accurate. I swapped out the laces for some pretty coral pink ones; so far that’s the only change I’ve made. From the time I put these on I did not want to take them off. The suede is soft, the material requires no breaking in and is very comfortable; no hot spots or blisters on my feet. I may replace the interior liner with something that has some arch support, but that’s because my feet are 40 years old, which I cannot blame BTFL for. Over all, a solid pair of fun pretty skates! Excellent for learning in without breaking the bank, since the technical specs are all better than average. I will be recommending BTFL to all of my friends!

I’ve tried on the big brands and I didn’t like the design, weight, fit, or the vinyl at the $150 - $200 price point. I love the soft leather/suede. I love the feminine look. They are lightweight. I will tell all my people to buy BTFL skates. I’m actually going to suggest to Pete at SK8 Fanatics to become a distributor. I knew going in that I bought the skates for the leather boot and not the components. Out the box, the trucks were a loose which I like. I was able to do decent spins and turns. The wheels are good quality and my ride was smooth. The right wheels didn’t have enough spin and the left wheels did. The right side bearings are a little bouncy and the spins wobble. The plate is okay. I’m only replacing the bearings and adjusting the trucks and my wheels. I’m an intermediate skater, and want to take my ability to the next level. These skates are perfect to improve my skills. I bought the size 7 and have a enough room for cushioned ski socks. My foot measurements are 240mm/9.44in. I purchased the refurbished skates. There were no cosmetic or structural imperfections. They look new. I’m in love with the skates—especially the boot!

I did tons of research and looked at tons of brands. These seemed to be the highest quality for a good price. I was nervous about the refurbished aspect, but the company seemed solid and I did not think they would sell me damaged goods. The skates are PERFECT. I cannot see any flaws (other than oddly one lace is longer than the other?) but they are comfy, they roll smoothly, they are stylish and just all around a high quality skate. I am so happy with my purchase and I look forward to lots of years skating on these bad boys!
